Urban/city dwellers

Rural communities

Good work vangel. The media would respond kless to advertising and presentations and more to media releases, or media conferences and particularly events which provide good photo/camera vision opportunities. Email is also good - it's also important for larger organisations to have a comprehensive 'media centre' on their website. Journalists can be directed there as opposed to wasting money mailing out information in hard copy form which they'll only throw out!

Don't underestimate the power of community meetings in teh rural setting either. Consider innovative methods such as music/drama/plays for primary school children!

Urban/city dwellers
Media,Printed materials including outdoor materials on public transport lines, flyer handouts and posters in the CBD, Direct mail (letter box drop) flyers, Advertising on city bill boards
Websites, Central event – city square, mall etc etc with a celebrity spokesperson to draw people to the event

Rural communities
Media,Printed materials including brochures, newsletters, flyers, posters etc etc, Direct mail,
Advertising on local radio stations, in local newspapers and on local television stations, Sponsorships of local community event e.g. local AFL roster grand final celebrations, agricultural show etc, Attend community meetings, Competitions through the local newspaper or held through local businesses which provide services and products for those who have agriculture based lifestyles. E.g. fertiliser companies, feed companies.
Increasingly technology is improving and able to reach rural communities, technology can be used to reach rural communities instantaneously even though they can be located quite remotely E.g. Email, Internet advertising on appropriate sites.

Media
Media releases, Press meetings, Community Service Announcements,
Sponsorships,Events with speeches, presentations, celebrity spokesperson, awards or good photo opportunities, Lobbying

Employees
Printed materials including internal newsletters, posters displayed around the work place, Messages on the company intranet,
Internal competitions to promote certain behaviour in the workplace
Workplace events, Workplace awards i.e. award for consecutively meeting KPIs etc, Emails to each employee, Company intranet blog from CEO or company head.
